- player stays down
- play gets reviewed
- penalty given
Then suddenly…
👉 they’re completely fine.
The suggestion?
If a player goes down for a head knock:
👉 they should have to leave the field for a proper check
That alone would clean a lot of it up.
💰 Big Money, Bigger Problems
Contracts were another hot topic.
Massive deals. Long-term contracts. Huge expectations.
But here’s the issue:
👉 players are getting paid for potential — not performance
Instead of:
👉 “prove it, then earn it”
It’s become:
👉 “we think you’ll be good, here’s a million dollars”
And more often than not?
👉 it doesn’t work out.
🧠 A Better Way?
One idea thrown around:
👉 shorter contracts (12-month reviews)
Make players:
- earn their spot
- earn their pay
- stay consistent
Because at the moment:
👉 too many players get paid… then disappear

- near misses that could’ve ended badly

…it’s the kind of stuff that reminds you:
