Some episodes you plan out.
You’ve got topics.
You’ve got structure.
You’ve got a rough idea where it’s going.
This wasn’t one of them.
This was one of those episodes where you start talking…
go completely off track…
end up in five different conversations…
and somehow it all still works.
🍻 It Always Ends Up Back Here
Doesn’t matter where we start…
it always seems to come back to drinking stories.
Getting drinks way too young
figuring out how to get around parents
finding someone older to buy it
All that sort of stuff.
Different upbringings, different rules…
same result.
🤬 Then You Hear Yourself Back…
There’s a weird moment when you listen back to yourself.
You don’t think much of it while you’re talking…
then you hear it later and go:
“Do I actually sound like that?”
Bit too much swearing
Sentences that go nowhere
Trying to say something decent but completely butchering it
It’s funny…
but also slightly confronting at the same time.
🧠 The “Ah… Right” Moments
Even in the middle of all the laughing and carrying on…
there were a couple of those moments.
The ones where it goes a bit quieter for a second.
Where you realise:
“Yeah… that’s probably on me.”
Not in a heavy, serious way.
More like:
you laugh about it in the moment
but it sticks in your head later
🥩 Health Stuff Creeps In Too
Somehow we ended up talking about health as well.
Getting checked.
Numbers not looking great.
Realising maybe the way you’ve been doing things isn’t exactly ideal.
Nothing crazy…
just one of those reminders that:
you can’t get away with everything forever.
📺 And Then Somehow… The News?
Don’t ask how we got there…
but we ended up talking about media, news, and all that as well.
One minute it’s drinking stories…
next minute it’s questioning what you’re actually being told.
Standard.
😂 It’s Mostly Just a Laugh (But Not Completely)
At the end of the day, this one was mostly just a good laugh.
A lot of taking the piss
A lot of stories
A lot of nonsense
But mixed in there…
a few things that actually hit.
Nothing forced.
Nothing preachy.
Just those little moments where you go:
“yeah… fair enough.”
